Became a 4 Star General



There are several soldiers missing from the rolls of the 1st 14th roster.  All of these soldiers deployed from Schofield Barracks HI to Viet-Nam on the USS Walker in 1966.
SSG. Snipes who was Killed in a helicopter accident
SP/4 Ronald Sapp died by enemy fire (first Charlie Co soldier killed in Vietnam)
SP/4 Joe Johnson; Kenneth Dirks (1st man to rotate home from Viet-Nam, when we left Hawaii he had 93 days left in the Army)
SGT. James C. Williams

Captain C. H. Armstrong, Charlie Company Commander, made Maj. Gen. and returned to the 25th Inf Div as Assistant Division Commander.  He is retired in PA.
