Staff Sgt. Oscar Rodriguez was killed on March 17, 2006, while
conducting live-fire training at Pohakuloa Training Area on the Island of Hawaii. Staff Sgt. Rodriguez, 27, a Beeville, Texas native was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division’s 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment. Rodriguez joined the Army in January 1996 and was assigned to Schofield Barracks in October 2002. He deployed to Iraq with the 2nd Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Rodriguez is survived by his wife and son. |
